Brilliant Breadcrumbs!
During these rather lean times don't waste anything, it is amazing what you can do when you put you mind to it! Have fun and be creative! For example, crusts or bread that is not quite as fresh as it was can be
made into breadcrumbs, whether it is white, brown, multigrain, seeded or flavoured it only takes a second to do! They freeze brilliantly and take seconds to thaw and add a bit of pizzazz to a very plain dish.
Croutons
Make a lovely addition to a hearty winter soup or salad and combined with some crispy bacon transform a simple dish into something a little more exciting!
Toppings and coatings
Sprinkle on top of Broccoli and Cauliflower cheese bake, coat Salmon Fishcakes, combine breadcrumbs with parmesan and fry gently in rapeseed oil to make Chicken Goujons, children love these but they are equally delicious served simply drizzled with a little lemon infused oil for a simple starter or super quick supper dish!
What could be simpler and very kind on the pocket!!!
